Neighbours attack BSF jawan after he asks them not to cut tree


Khargone (MP), May 31 (PTI): A Border Security Force jawan was injured after he was allegedly attacked by four of his neighbours in Beharampur-Tema village last evening for asking them to not cut a tree, police said today.

"Four persons of a family attacked the BSF personnel Rajkumar Verma after he asked them not to cut a tree," district additional superintendent of police Antar Singh Knet told PTI.


Verma, who was grievously injured in the attack, has been admitted to the district hospital, he added.

The accused, identified as Devendra Verma, Rajendra Verma, Keshav Verma, and Jitendra Verma, have been booked under various sections of the IPC, and efforts are on to arrest them.

He said the jawan, posted in Gurdaspur sector, recently came home on leave.
