Hot Saturday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, May 27 (IANS): It was a clear and hot Saturday morning in the national capital as the minimum temperature was recorded at 29.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.

According to the Met office, there might be relief from the heat as rain and thunderstorm is likely during the day.

"There will be partly cloudy sky ahead on Saturday with possibility of rain and thunderstorm," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, adding the maximum temperature will hover around 42 degrees Celsius

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 53 per cent.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 43.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
