Gunfight erupts in Kashmir


Srinagar, May 27 (IANS): A gunfight erupted on Saturday between militants and security forces in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.

Three Hizbul Mujahideen militants including a commander, Sabzar Bhat are believed to be trapped inside a house in Saimoh village, Tral town.

On Friday evening, a patrol party of 42 Rashtriya Rifles was fired at by militants in Tral, but there were no casualties in the brief encounter that ended when militants fled from the spot.
