M'lore: Elephant Tusks worth Rs 45 Lac Recovered, Two Nabbed

Mangalore, Apr 3: The forest department authorities arrested two persons who were carrying elephant tusks in the city on Wednesday, April 2.

Acting upon a sure tip-off, forest department authorities arrested K M Ibrahim and M E Suresh of Madikeri at city railway station who were carrying two tusks. They were searching for customers at railway station. hiding the tusks in a polythene bag.

The value of the tusks has been estimated Rs 45 lac. The arrested were handed over to Pandeshwar police station. Police have initiated probe to collect additional information from the accused.
