Mangalore, Apr 3: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a ‘Miniratna’ ONGC group company has got a new managing director here recently.
The current managing director of MRPL R Rajamani has in-fact been appointed the chairman of the recently formed joint venture with Shell India (P) Limited known as ‘Shell-MRPL Aviation Fuel Services Private Limited.
The other directors on board the new company are Vikram Mehta, chairman, Shell group of companies in India, L K Gupta, director (finance), MRPL, and Richard Jory, GM, Shell Aviation.
The chairman’s nomination will be held on a rotation basis every four years. There will be direct marketing of ATF to domestic and international airlines in Indian airports by this joint venture. According to Rajamani, the JV will set new benchmarks in Indian aviation sector.
