Rainy morning in Delhi


New Delhi, May 22 (IANS): It was drizzling on Monday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 21.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, the weather office said.

According to an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official, the sky would remain overcast with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 63 per cent.

The MeT recorded 17.2 mm of rain.

"There is a possibility of thunderstorms with rains to occur," the official said.

Sunday's maximum temperature settled at 39.6 degrees Celsius, the season's average, and the minimum was recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
