Udupi, Apr 2: The Express Award 2008 were presented to budding media persons during the concluding ceremony of Manipal Institue of Communication (MIC) annual fest recently.
While Shankar from MIC won the for AD express TV award (theme: anti-smoking), Shayoni Sarkar from Lady Shri Ram College bagged the Journalism Express award (theme:: how we tried to tell the truth). Shaz Mohammed from MIC won Photography Express (theme: moving world static mind) and Atul Rastogi from Loyalla Academy, Secunderabad for bagged the top honour in AD Express Print category (theme: educate girl child). Shankar from MIC also won in the Film Express category (theme: subway for the million on the street).
Script writer of Hindustan Times Atul Tiwari, director of MIC Boroshiva Das Gupta, lyricist Jayanth Kaikini and honorary director M V Kamath were present.
