Mangalore: Prolonged Illness Compels Man to Commit Suicide

Mangalore, Apr 2: A person was reported to have committed suicide by jumping into a deep lake at Pachanady Karmikanagara on Tuesday, April 1.

The deceased person has been identified as Ganesh (19). Sources informed that he was bedridden since many years owing to sickness and therefore he committed suicide. The incident occurred at about 12 pm on Tuesday, as some women who were washing clothes at the lake informed.

Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and engaged in searching the body of Ganesh, but their efforts went in vain till late night owing to the depth of the lake. Kankanady police have registered a case.
