Mangalore/Udupi; Apr 1:  Police security has been given to all Tamilnadu registered buses traveling along coastal Karnataka. This is in wake of The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike members headed by Satish Kalmadi and Ganesh Saralabettu   stopping all Tamilnadu buses and smearing paint on the Tamil letters written on the buses.  The incident was reported at Udupi  in the afternoon of April 1.

It may be recalled that the Tamilnadu government  had   decided to go ahead with the drinking water scheme worth Rs 1330 crore at Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri near the Hognekal falls on the Karnataka-Tamilnadu border.. This has resulted in a bitter dispute between Karnataka and Tamilnadu.
