Mangalore, Mar 29: Appi R Hegde (72), mother of well-known Yakshagana artiste Surendra Kumar passed away here in a private hospital owing to heart attack on Saturday, March 29.

She is survived by husband Mulki Rukmayya Hegde, 5 sons, and a daughter and thousands of relatives and well-wishers.

Her funeral rites will be held at their house ‘Devikripa’ located in Alangar, near Moodbidri on Sunday, March 30 morning, her family sources informed. For more deatails contact Surendra Kumar Hegde (Mob: 09833868081).
