Beltangady, Mar 29: A unique wedding ceremony is soon going to be witnessed between an Australian guy and a German lass, which will be held at Dharmasthala here on Monday March 31.
The soon to wed couple Lace John Brendish (30) is an Australia citizen, while Kareen Guntor (28) happens to hail from West Germany. Kareen is presently pursuing her studies in Ayurveda by serving as a house surgeon at Alva’s college in Moodbidri. She met Brendish, who is a bank employee presently residing in Mangalore, where love bloomed between the two.
Dr S G Prasanna Aithal of Ujire had been to England as a visiting professor for six months where she was his student. This took place when they had come to the wedding ceremony of Dr S G Prasanna Aithal’s wedding in Udupi.
Fascinated by India's traditional marriage ceremony they too have decided to get married in Indian traditional style. They will be tying the knot at Mahotsava Sabhavana in Dharmasthala on March 31. The arrangements for the wedding ceremony will be made by retired lecturer of Ecomomics prof Subrahmanya Aithal.
The couple will be converted to Hinduism through the rituals of 'Go Prasava Shanthi' and 'The Saptapadi', 'Laja Homa', 'Navagraha Shanthi' and 'Panigrahana'.
Prof Aithal said that the parents of the couple will be attending the marriage ceremony and after the wedding the couple will be residing in Australia.
