Mangalore: Unique Science Express to Chug into City on Mar 29

Mangalore, Mar 28: Mangaloreans will have the opportunity of witnessing a unique science exhibition Science Express, on specially air-conditioned train that will arrive at Mangalore central station on Saturday March 29.

The exhibition will be open from 2 pm to 4 pm on March 29 and from 10 am to 4 pm from Sunday March 30 to Tuesday April 1, a press release from the organizers stated. The exhibition will showcase modern and futuristic advances in sciences.

The train was flagged off in New Delhi on October 30 by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Angela Merkel, chancellor, Federal Republic of Germany. 

The train will travel through the country till June 2008. It will travel across 57 destinations, of which two are in the state, namely Bangalore and Mangalore.

The custom designed train has illustrated interactive exhibits, video clips, and large format images in 13 exhibition coaches. 

Participants will receive a certificate and the entrance will be free, the press release added.
