Agra: Rescued Vandana Admitted to Hospital - Recovering Well

Agra, Mar 27: Little Vandana was the cynosure of all eyes especially that of the media yesterday when she was rescued after spending tortous 28 hours 50 feet below the ground. Latest reports indicate that Vanadana is recovering well. After being admitted, she was exhausted and she slept for four hours. She also developed fever upto 102 degree farenhiet, which is now believed to be under control.

The young girl has suffered bruises all over her body, but thankfully she has not got any fracture as is evident from the X-rays taken of her body, informed the principal of SN Medical College, Dr Prajapati. According to the principal and her team of doctors she might need to stay under treatment for the infection and observation for another 4-5 days.

Vandana's father Bengali Babu is a farmer. He and his wife have been at Vandana's side ever since she was brought to the hospital. They expressed their thanks to God almighty and for all the prayers of well wishers. He thanked the media for helping to draw attention to the matter.
 
Two-year-old Vandana who fell into a 50-feet deep borewell on Tuesday March 25 evening while playing with her friends spent a horrifying 28 hours trapped nearly 50 feet below ground level. She was rescued by a massive and careful operation by the army personnel who took into consideration the advice in a report given by the previous army team which had rescued Prince, a 5-year-old boy who fell into a borewell in gurgaon area nearly one and a half years ago.
 
It is left to be seen if administrations across the country learn a lesson from this yet another episode to form certain standard precautions to prevent such horrific accidents.
