Mangalore: District Hi-tech Consumer Court Inaugurated

Mangalore, Mar 25: Justice Chandrashekarayya of state Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, inaugurated fully computerized district Consumer Court on Tuesday March 25 morning.  

Justice Chandrashekarayya, in his inaugural address, said that district consumer court has been modernized to such an extent that it is poised to work efficiently than civil courts.  Meanwhile, he urged the consumers to avail benefit from consumer courts that are set up by union government by filing their grievances online.

State info officer A Venkateshan, while presiding over the programme, said that the world-wide web has enabled the consumers to file their grievances with ease.

JMFC judge V C Hatti, retired judge H Umesh Shetty, district Bar Association president Ashwin Kumar Rai, Uday Shankar Shetty, Nemiraj Shetty, Bahubali Prasad, state Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission administrative officer C Halappa, were the chief guest present at the occasion.

Asha Shetty, president of District Consumer Redressal Forum welcomed the gathering.  Advocate Shashiraj Rao Kavoor compered the programme.
