Puttur, Mar 25: Madrasas play an important role in cultivating good manners and this is obvious in students who are educated in madarsas, said Jagadish Nellikatte¸ INTUC leader here on Monday March 24.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of newly constructed madrasa building.

Speaking on the importance of respecting all religions, he said that religious tolerance is a mark true Indianness, he opined.

Abdul Aziz Darimi of Kalleg mosque, in his presidential address said true Muslims never attempt any misdeeds. Education inculcates humanity in every student. Islam must not be dubbed as a religion that promotes terorrism. Islam never instigates anyone to become terrorist, he added.

Aatur Mudarris Alhaady Ibrahim delivered the inaugural address.
