M'lore: Elderly Citizens End Lives in Uppinangady

Mangalore, Mar 23: Two elderly persons (senior citizens) committed suicide by hanging themselves in two different places in the city on Thursday March 20, sources informed here on Sunday March 23.
 
Manjappa Poojary (63), a forest officer and Fransis Vegas (83) a retired teacher ended their lives at Golithottu and Kapina Baagilu of Kaukrady respectively, sources added.
 
Fransis Vegas committed suicide at his residence by hanging from a beam in the absence of the family members. While the former committed suicide inside the toilet.
 
Vincent Menezes, son-in-law of Vegas stated in a complaint lodged at the police station that Vegas might have committed suicide for being unable to withstand certain bitter disappointments in life.
 
On the other hand Lokesh, son in law of Poojary has detailed in the complaint that Poojary might have committed suicide for not being able to bear life's disappointments. Both complaints are lodged at the Uppinangady police station.
