Moodbidri: Navodaya Chaitanya Samavesha All Set to Begin

Moodbidri, Mar 14: Swaraj maidan is all set to host the mega events, ‘Navodaya Chaitanya Samavesha’ and ‘Samoohika Mahalxmi puja’ on Friday March 14. 

Navodaya Gram Vikas Trust, promoted by South Canara District Credit Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank will be organizing this event, in which more than 25,000 members of self-help groups formed by Navodaya will take part. 

SHGs have been entrusted the duties to serve food for all the participants of the convention.

A procession will start from Dhavala College and pass through Jain Pete. More than 30 folklore troupes will participate in the procession, stated Rajendra Kumar, president of state Apex Bank who has been supervising the arrangements with Irvattoor Bhaskar Kotian and others. 

Moodbidri Jain Swamiji, Dr Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva's Education Foundation, Narayan P, M M Sunilkeerti, deputy commissioner Maheswara Rao, P R Palangappa, P Narayan Kamath and Hemalatha Jain will be the chief guest of the occasion. 

Traditional dress competition will be held on the occasion under the direction of popular TV serial director, Vinu Balanja.
