Mangalore, Mar 13: St Aloysius College (SAC) Konkani Institute has been granted permission to re-print 'Aanjel,' a novel authored by Jo Sa Alvares and published by city's Konkani Natak Sabha in 1950.

Konkani Institute takes pleasure in announcing that the task of reprint would bring joy to the author's well-wishers, readers and inspire budding novelists and all those who were motivated by Jo Sa Alvares in his life time, stated a press release.

The printing cost of around 400 pages of this novel would reduce the burden on SAC Konkani Institute, if philanthropists and donors contribute their mite for publishing this novel, the release added.

This would be an ideal opportunity to acknowledge the lifetime Konkani literary contributions of Jo Sa Alvares.
