Mangalore: KDSS Urges MCC to Probe Forgery Scam

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (KM/AF)

Mangalore, Mar 12: The state Dalita Sangharsha Samiti (Ambedkarism) has urged the elected representatives of Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) to probe the alleged scam in MCC and take actions against those involved in the 'unconstitutional deed.'

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday March 12, P Keshava, convener of the Samiti (Mysore division), said that forging the signature of Krishnappa Poojary, commissioner of MCC to get clearance to considerable number of files is no less a criminal case. Hence all those involved must be suspended immediately, he demanded.

If the demand of the Samiti is not met by the authority concerned at the earliest, the Samithi will take further steps on its own, Keshava cautioned.

The scam refers to the sanctioning of a repair work project in the city by forging MCC commissioner's signature. A case has been registered in this regard at the Barke police station.

Other office bearers of the samithi were present at the press conference.
