Mumbai: MNS Plans to Set up Union for Workers in Bollywood

Mumbai, Mar 6: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief, Raj Thackeray, who was in the midst of controversies last month, has decided to do something special for the film industry.

The political leader plans to set up a union in order to improve the working conditions of workers in the film industry. Some prominent Bollywood personalities like Sunil Shetty, Sajid Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar and Sajid Nadiadwala have decided to support this move of Raj Thackeray.

The union would be called Maharashtra Navnirman Cine Workers Association (MNCWA).

Actors like Sunil Shetty felt that such a union would help in providing safe working conditions to those working on the sets. Even filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala seemed quite concerned with the existing medical and health care facilities available for workers in the film industry.

The union would also fight for the rights of its laborers working in the film industry.

Well, hope it does provide to some relief to those working in the big bad world of Bollywood.
