Bangalore: C M Ibrahim, Jayaprakash Hegde to Join Congress

Bangalore Mar 5: Former Union Minister C M Ibrahim and former Minister Jayaprakash Hegde are all set to join the Congress.

According to well placed sources, these leaders met AICC General Secretary in charge of Karnataka, Prithviraj Chauhan on Monday night, and held discussions with him. Chauhan is said to have welcomed the leaders to the party.

The discussions were held in the presence of senior leaders like KPCC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Siddaramaiah.


Hegde is said to have told Chauhan that he would discuss the matter with his supporters and take a decision over representing a new constituency.

Meanwhile, former DyCM M P Prakash is also learnt to have met Chauhan and discussed with him the date of joining the Congress.
