Biren Singh elected leader of BJP legislature party in Manipur

Imphal, Mar 13 (PTI): N Biren Singh was today unanimously elected leader of the BJP Legislature Party in Manipur, paving the way for his becoming the next chief minister.

"N Biren has been unanimously elected leader of the BJP Legislature Party. He is the party's chief ministerial candidate," Union minister Piyush Goel told reporters.

Biren will meet Governor Najma Heptulla and stake claim to form the next government in the state, said Goel, who was present at the meeting, adding "we have the support of smaller parties".

A former minister in the Ibobi Singh-led Congress government, Biren thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP leadership for giving him an opportunity to serve Manipur.

"I thank the Prime Minister and the entire BJP leadership. I had left the Congress protesting against its misrule and misgovernance.

"I assure you that our team under the leadership of Prime Minister Modiji will provide good governance," he said.

congress high command want to make Rahul as Prime Minister of India, They are not bothered about state, its cleared in Manipur and Goa as congress didntmet governer to form govt.

their only moto is to see him in PM chair which is not possible for ever.

once their MLA in Goa started blaming high command they filed case in Suprem Court with out meeting Governer. It means in real ground congress high command is not interested in forming any state govt, only to make drama and to spoli BJP name they went to suprem Court.

High Command is bothered only about karnataka as revenue is high from karnataka to high command. Whole of high command lip locked in 1000 crore diary issue.

Prime Minister Modi should take back his words of 70 years of Congress ruling.

Poor BJP has no able leader in the party to head his Chief Minister. All they want is 'operation kamala' which started with former BJP CM Yeddyurappa went to jail for mining kickbacks and denotification.

Is this party of morale? Is poaching opposition elected MLA's part of BJP' way of democracy?
