Bantwal: Prime Accused in Iqbal’s Slain Case Surrenders to Court

Bantwal, Mar 2: At the backdrop of slaying an auto rickshaw driver, Iqbal at a rubber plantation near Pacchinadka here a week ago, Devu Alias Devdas Poojary, resident of Bellur who was prime suspect accused in this case and absconding, had surrendered to the city court on Friday February 29 night. 
 
Iqbal was slain by two persons who posed as passengers and hired his auto rickshaw to go to the remote area, ahead of Pacchinadka from city’s railway station.  The police have already managed to nab the chief accused, Rajesh resident of Sudekalu near Kalladka.  However, the police are on the hunt to nab the other two prime accused who are absconding after the crime. 
 
Meanwhile, the police have so far taken eight persons into custody who were accused of their involvement related to the said case. Altogether the arrested persons count has reached 10.
