Mangalore: 450 Litres of Illicit Liquor Confiscated

Mangalore, Feb 29: The city excise police intercepted  a Tata mini truck loaded with 450 litres of illicit  liquor at Suratkal and seized illicit liquor on Friday February 29 morning.

 The policemen managed to nab the mini-truck driver and owner Francis Rebello and his accomplice Umesh alias Om Shiva.  However, the prime accused Rahim Khan managed to escape.  The stock of illicit liquor bottles which arrived in Konkan Railway train from Goa was packed in gunny sack.  The stock was meant for the supplying to the customers and liquor shops in the city.
