Mangalore, Feb 27: Ismail U A and Dinesh Rai are likely to be elected as president and vice-president of Ullal town municipal body. Though voting for the same has not yet been held, the mood in the Congress camp was positive towards their election for the coveted posts.
Ismail was elected from ward number 8 Kakkethota to Ullal town municipal body and his wife was also elected a member of municipal body owing to the reservation policy. Ismail is a popular Congress member in the region and is being hailed as a committed party worker
Dinesh Rai was the president of standing committee of the then Ullal town panchayat and when it was elevated to the grade of town municipal, he was unanimously elected for the same.
