M'lore: Grand Reception for Victorious Mandd Sobhann Team

Mangalore, Feb 26: Under the leadership of lawyer Ivan D’Souza a group of people have come forward to recognize the efforts of Mandd Sobhann cultural team, and have decided to host a reception in honour of the team.
 
Addressing press persons here on Monday, Feb 25,  D’Souza informed that the Mandd Sobhann teams entered the Guinness book of world records for 40 hours marathon non-stop singing by groups. By successfully doing so, they broke the earlier record of 36 hours set by communidad Evangelica Lutherana Sao Paulo, Ulbra Brazil in July 2004.
 
A function in this regard will be held at the Town hall here on Friday February 29, wherein the chairman of Second National Administrative Reforms commission M Veerappa Moily will honour the president of Mandd Sobhann Louis J Pinto.

Karnataka Legislative Council chairman B K Chandrashekar will felicitate founder Eric Ozario and Mangalore mayor Ganesh Hosabettu will felicitate other important persons.

    Dear Ivan, you are doing a wonderful job recongnising hard work done by Mr.L.J.Pinto,Eric Ozario,StanyAlvares,Mr.Roy and all the team for success for Our Mother tongue language KONKANI, and it is more meaningful that they are honoured by Our beloved Dr.M.Veerappa Moily,who is the main instrumental personality who worked hard for recongnising Konkani in the 8th schdule of our country.
