Mangaluru: Shooting of 'Gant Kalver' to begin shortly

Mangaluru, Feb 21: Sudhakar Bannanje has left a mark in Kannada and Tulu filmdom by involving himself in more than forty films. The shooting for his second tulu film 'Gant Kalver' will start in Kadri temple on March 29.

District in charge minister Ramanath Rai will set the shooting in motion by clapping. Minister Pramod Madhwaraj will start the camera. The film will be produced under the banner of Snehakripa Movies. Kusaldarase Navin D Padil will be seen in main role. Newcomers Vijesh Shetty and Smitha Suvarna are the hero and heroine in the film.

The film will be full of comedy. Comedians Bhojaraj Vamanjooru, Arvind Bolar, Sundara Rai Mandara, Umesh Mijar, Pradeep Alva Kadri, Vasanth Muniyalu, Prajwal Pandeshwar, Disha J Putran, Sinchana, Preran,
Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, Sudheer Kothari and others are in the cast.

There are five songs in the film. Poet Sudhakar Bannanje has written lyrics for three of them. Srajan and Keerthan Bhandary are the lyricists for the other two. Story, screen play and dialogues are by Sudhakar Bannanje.

The story is woven so as to be pleasant to local folk, said the director. Uppala Rajarama Shetty, Krithi Shetty, Nagesh Shetty and Amith Chandran have taken the responsibility of production. Shanker's camera, Laxman's art and the co-direction of Ramadas Sasihithlu are at work.

Sudhaker Bannanje said that shooting will be held for thirty days in Mangaluru, Moodbidri and Udupi.
