Bengaluru: 'Kirik Party' creates waves - crosses Rs 40 crore mark

Bengaluru, Feb 17: Even after about two months since its release, Kannada movie, 'Kirik Party' directed by Rishab Shetty, in which Rakshit Shetty has donned the lead role, continues to create ripples in Sandalwood. The film, which has posted a total collection of Rs 40 crore, has succeeded in breathing the fresh air of hope and excitement in the field of Kannada films.

The producers of the film, considering the fact that the film is galloping, are confident that their film will humble Rs 50 crore mark soon. The fact that satellite rights of the movie have not yet been sold has boosted the chance of the film to improve its earnings further.

The film, which features Rakshit Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna and Samyukta Hegde in leading roles, has given rise to new ray of hope and expectations in film industry. Rakshit feels that good story line, interesting content, keeping the interests of the audience live with incidents which occur one after the other,  frequent twists in the story, emphasis on entertainment and comical interludes have made his film a great hit.

Analysts believe that the film has earned profit of over Rs 24 crore already.
