Bangalore, Feb 16: Under attack from some political leaders and Kannada protagonist organisations, railway minister Lalu Prasad on Friday described the allegations that he insulted people of Karnataka state as a “malicious campaign”.

He denied he had made any comment that would offend the sentiments of people of the state. “A section of the media has presented to the people a distorted version of my reaction to the recent railway recruitment held by South Western Railways (SWR),” Prasad said over telephone from Patna.
