Mangalore: Budding Engineers Put their Skills to Test at NITK

Mangalore, Feb 15: ‘Engineer 08’ an annual technical symposium of NITK Suratkal began with 'Shrishti' an event related to rural infrastructure planning and society building. Students developed a business model keeping in mind the concept of rural empowerment.

In another event student innovators elaborated on their research projects.

Teams from different parts of the country participated in Blueprint, the paper presentation contest during which several innovative ideas came to the fore in areas of mechanical engineering, automobiles and chemical warfare.

The finalists also tested their skills and power in the event 'Pulveriser' wherein they were asked to crush bricks.

MSEZ MD and CEO I S N Prasad will formally inaugurate the event at 4:30pm on Friday February 15.
