Mangalore, Feb 14: The sixth annual award ceremony of Divangatha Kalladi Koraga Shetty Mattu Vithal Shetty Yaksha Pratisthana will be held on Sunday February 17, informed Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli, convener of the advising committee of the Pratisthana.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday February 13 he sid that the awards ceremony will be held at Ira Shree Somanatheshwara Temple of Kundavu near here.
The awards will be conferred on yakshagana veterans Dharnappa Shetty Punjalakatte, Alike Lakshmana Shetty, Aruva Koragappa Shetty and Kuriyadi Gopal Poojary. D K Chouta, well-known writer will confer the awards and K Padmanabha Kottari, former MLA, Vithal constituency will be the chief guest, he added.
Suratkal Jayarama Shetty, president, K Sainatha Poonja, member and Raghav Chouta, secretary of the Pratisthana were present at the press conference.
