Bantwal, Feb 12: St Antony’s church located at Allipade here celebrated its parish day recently.

Earlier, the Eucharist was celebrated by Fr Onil D’Souza, director of Canara Ogranization for Developmental Programmes (CODP) along with Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest of Nirkan parish and Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas.

Later, a procession was held to honour miraculous St Anthony. The parish telephone directory was released during the stage programme which was held after the procession. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza was the chief guest.

Ten couples who completed 25 years of married life and four newly-wedded couples were felicitated on the occasion. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions including catechism. Konkani comedy drama, ‘Sunkuddo,’ authored by Nellu Permannur, was held as part of the entertainment programme.

    Congratulations! I could see many of our parishioners in the pictures. Thanks a lot. Good job. Thanks to the Parish priest who is encouraging the youth to show up their talents and I just recalled my memory and remembered when I was there in the church activities.
