Trump calls Modi, gets India invite

PM is fifth world leader that new US president spoke to

New Delhi, Jan 25 (DHNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday received a call from US President Donald Trump – the first between the two leaders after the change of leadership in Washington DC.

Modi invited Trump and his wife Melania to visit India at an early date. Modi was the fifth among the Heads of Governments who received a call from the new US president after his inauguration last Friday. Trump called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican premier Pena Nieto on Saturday. He spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Monday.

Modi conveyed to Trump that the India-US strategic partnership was based on “shared values” and driven by “common interests”. The phone conversation between the two leaders took place at a time when Trump’s inaugural speech sent out a signal that the new American administration might indeed start an era of fierce protectionism.

Trump’s strong views on immigration during the campaign had created a perception that he would take a tough stand on migrants, not only the ones who get in illegally, but also the professionals who migrate to the US legally.

His “America First” inaugural speech on Friday and his call to “buy American and hire American” indicated that he would by and large go by the policies he espoused during his campaign.

New Delhi is likely to argue that Indian companies, including the IT majors, not only contributed to the economy, but had also created jobs in America.

India will also put forward its view that protectionism could pose serious threats to the global economy.

It's accent, not asscent or whatever. First you need to learn basic spellings then you can worry about PM understanding English.

..there are many who hates TRUMP,undermine his election..but dont know why..He says IRAQ war is a mistake..there was no WMD..He says killing GADDAFI was a mistake..He says IRAQ/LIBYA was far better (than now) under SADDAM/GADDAFI..says stop dependence on war economy, stop WAR mongering all over the world..stop meddling in ME, let regional countries tackle their menace, dont bring terror to our door step..He says profile people before giving asylum..give jobs to US citizens..why its wrong!!..this is exactly a National leader should do..He is not crazy..some vested interest along with US paid media painting him as such..whole system is so corrupt , they dont mind giving a Nobel peace prize to OBAMA but wont like TRUMP if he says stop war economy..really dont know how many years he can keep his presidency..people forget easily and want leaders who are lam-duck & like status quo..

He knows Egypt is more important than all other Arab world countries, because only Egypt has made peace with Israel.
Obama created all the current problems in Arab world, that is Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Bahrain, Syria from which only Bahrain pro democracy revolt was ruthlessly put down by Saudi Arabia. Egypt
democratically elected muslim brotherhood government has been overthrown by current ruler General Sisi, who is overseeing all the problems of the muslim brotherhood elements in his country.
However Trump wants a peaceful middle east, which does not seems to be coming.
None can find a logical answer to, why Qatar and Turkey overwhelmingly support muslim brotherhood while governments of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE etc ruthlessly put down those groups.
Obama had given red carpet invitation to muslim brotherhood members in USA, and Hilary Cliniton's personal secretary Huma Abdin's father was muslim brotherhood politburo member while they were in Saudi Arabia.

India as well as the United States of America has lot to gain from each other by renewing their close friendship under the leadership of President Trump. Business deals are very valuable for President Trump and the creation of new job opportunities are close to his heart. President Trump is a good negotiator and so also Prime Minister Modi. They both will enjoy a nice sailing on bilateral trade relations where both the countries will gain. We truly believe that Mr. and Mrs. Donald Trump should be the honored guest for the next Republic Day ceremony of 2018. Thee preparations must begin now.

Protectionism definitely would affect economic growth of the country and the country should not allow foreign investors to come and take control of the domestic firms. Migrants in America contributed more to the economy and created job opportunities to everyone.
Once again Modiji proved that he is one of the strongest person on this globe.
