M'lore: CCRT’s Cultural Club Inaugurated at Canara High School

Mangalore, Feb 11: Sucharita Shetty, president of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, inaugurated Central Cultural Resources Training (CCRT) Cultural Club, at Canara High School, Urwa, on Monday, February 11 afternoon.

Dr U S Mohandas Nayak, president of Canara High School Association, presided over the programme.



Dr Ganesh Amin Sankamar, Kannada professor of St Aloysius College, delivered lecture on folklore of coastal district of undivided Dakshina Kannada.


K C Damayanti, head teacher of Canara High School and Permude Mohan Kumar, correspondent of High School and students were present at the occasion.

Bharathanatyam by Rishika Chowta, Odissy and Kuchupudi dance by Akshatha Baikady and Babitha and folk dance by the students of Sri Durga Parameshwari Higher Primary School, Kateel, were held as part of entertainment programmes.
