Delhi Karnataka Sangha Celebrates Annual Day

New Delhi, Feb 5: Karnataka Sangha which is one of the premier organizations of the capital city celebrated its annual day recently with great pomp and fervour at its premises at Sector 12 R K Puram here.

Various sports and cultural competitions for the members were organized to mark the mega occasion.  The annual day prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Corporation Bank manager M R Nayak.

Speaking on the occasion M R Nayak hailed the organization for its yeoman's service in protecting and promoting Kannada in the national capital.  He also said that most of the bank employees working in the capital who hail from Karnataka always supported programmes which take them back to their roots.  He also assured that Corp bank would always support such activities by sponsoring them.

Karnataka Sangha vice-president Prabha Murthy, secretary S Krishna Bhat, annual day committee president Subrahmanya Nakshatri were also present on the dais.

Annual Day conveyer Ramamurthi compered the programme.

    Karnataka Sangha of New Delhi has also conferred with the “Ambikatanayadatta National Award” for 2007-08, instituted by the Dr. D.R. Bendre National Memorial Trust, Dharwad. I congratulate President of the Sangha Shri Purushotham Bilimale who is also a great scholar in Kannada Folklore and his entire team for this fete.
