Udupi: Three-day Art Expo 'Varna Ruchi' Inaugurated

Udupi, Feb 3: A three-day painting exhibition of landscapes ‘Varna Ruchi’ was inaugurated by Vasanth Kumar at Vibhuthi Art Gallery Chitrakala Mandir here recently. 

Speaking at the inaugural function Kumar said that the profits of the exhibition will be used for the benefit of meritorious students hailing from low income families of the district. 

Addressing the gathering renowned artist N S Pattar said that art needs no definition and an abstract painting can be viewed in different ways to know the idea and the imagination that has involved in the painting. It is difficult for a layman to say what is the purpose behind art or what art really means, he added.

President of Yakhshagana Kalaranga Murali Kadekar was present.
