Mangalore, Jan 30: Mangalore University all-college students' union (MUACSU) will stage an agitation opposing the carry over system (carry over provision) on Friday February 1 by boycotting classes.

V Krishna Das, president of MUACSU informed media persons about this at the press conference here on Wednesday January 30.

The protesters will also demand withdrawal of the privilege system. The system is absolutely incongruous as there might not be any provision to final year students to take final year exams in the system. Hence the MUACSU has decided to stage the agitation, he added.

The one-day protest will be staged in the wake of poor response by the VC and the registrar to the memorandum submitted, he briefed.

Mithun Rai, former president, Yatish Rao, joint secretary, Mohammad Kalandar, vice-president and Shameer, secretary of MUACSU were present at the press conference.
