Puttur, Jan 29: The newly-appointed ASP of Puttur sub-division Abhishek Goyal took charge of the office here on Monday January 28. He took over the mantle from Harsha P S, who has been tranferred to Tumkur as superintendent of police.
Goyal, who hails from Punjab completed his B Tech in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, after which he worked in Bangalore, Germany and Chandigarh as a software engineer.
He belongs to the 2005 batch of IPS officers and the new position as ASP happens to be his maiden posting.
