Mangalore: Diwakar Chowta Bags 'Mela Sri' Strong Man Award

Mangalore, Jan 24:
At the 'Krishi Mela' organized by the Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project the strongest man award, namely, ’Mela Sri' was won by Diwakar Chowta of Kinnigoli.

This competition was organized in Sirsi recently. Diwakar had won the first award in Kateel at the 25th Krishi Mela in 2005.  From then onwards he has been winning the first prize consistently till now.
 
Diwakar is a resident of Aikala Ulepady village near Kinnigoli. He was was honoured by Dr D Veerendra Hegde and ex chief minister B S Yeddiyurappa.
