New York: NRI Teen Girl Wins Citizen Award in US

New York, Jan 23:  A teenage American Indian Anjali Bhatia has topped among six winners, announced by the US Centre for Citizen Diplomacy for their exemplary work as citizen diplomats.

The 19-year-old is being given the honour "National Award for Citizen Diplomacy" that would be recognised at a ceremony in  Washington on February 12.

Anjali, who is from  New Jersey, founded Discover Worlds at the age of 16. The student-run, organisation promotes relations between the United States and Rwanda. It focuses on eradicating poverty.
