Bantwal: Delay in Compensation - NH Movable Assets Seized

Bantwal, Jan 22: The court officials seized movable assets of National Highway office located at Urva Store here on Tuesday January 22 for not paying compensation for an acquired piece of land.

A certain Yousuf of Narikombu village here had filed a case in Bantwal court against the National Highway authorities for not paying compensation for his land which they acquired in 1983 to construct an approach road to Netravati bridge.

But the National Highway authorities did not pay him any compensation even after the court order. The court finally passed an order to seize the movable assets from the National Highway office.
