Solar-powered CCTV camera launched at Rs 65,000 in India

New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS): Electronic security solution providers AnG India on Monday launched its first ever solar-powered, 2MP high-resolution CCTV camera at Rs 65,000.

"SC-IE20SP-V212R30" is a self-contained, wireless digital image sensor camera with 1080p high-resolution image quality with low-bandwidth power consumption that can run for 48 hours of battery once fully charged.

"This technology is a cost-effective and environmental-friendly solution for providing power to wireless security surveillance systems. Current technology has allowed our surveillance systems to be installed in remote or hard-to-reach locations," said Pulkit Punj, Director at AnG India, in a statement.

The camera is supported with remote web and mobile configuration, central monitoring systems (CMS) and motion detection alarm triggers, using cellular network to send video streams to remote location.

The camera -- that supports Android, ioS and blackberry mobile platforms -- comes with 3G, 2G and Wi-fi data communications.
