Mangalore, Jan 19:
Shri Atmananda Saraswati Swamiji's 'Sadguru Pattabhisheka' will be held from Saturday January 19 to Monday January 21, sources here informed.

This function which consists of the Abhisheka   or “sprinkling” of holy water is basically a purification or initiation rite in which a candidate is sprinkled with water or other liquid, signifying a change in status.

Originally, 'abhisheka' was an integral part of the ancient Indian royal consecration rite. Water from the four oceans was poured out of golden jars onto the head of the seated monarch during his ascension ceremony.

This auspicious ceremony of Shri Atmananda will be held at the Sri Ram Kshetra Nityananda Nagara at Dharmasthala.

On Tuesday January 22 the 'Guru Vandana' ceremony will be organized at 4 pm for the benefit of the hordes of the swamiji's devotees.
