Mangalore, Jan 18: A Water Tanker belonging to A J Hospital, turned turtle at the Kuntikan Junction, just two days after opening of the newly-constructed service road which is now a temporary highway till the fly over work is completed - God knows when.

Though this happened owing to the negligence of the driver, the Highway Authorities, the contractors IRCON International and TOTEM are to be blamed for this mishap.  The road has been asphalted which unfortunately is not wide enough for two heavy vehicles to move freely. The road shoulders are filled with poor quality loose mud without constructing any barriers which is the main cause of the accident. This was expected. Noise pollution, traffic jams, dust pollution and finally the accident; looks like there is no administration in city!

This accident has knocked down compound wall of a house nearby and pillars of the gate and damaged the gate resulting in big loss and inconvenience to the house owner. The entire contents of the tank were emptied into the same compound along with the sticky mud that was brought for the service road.

Dear Daijiworld, Reporting yes, but action is another part. Reaction will soon come from all corners. Let your action also come. Let an idea atleast, from Daiji or readers towrads the action. How long can we be dumb, deaf and blind for these? What is AJ Hospital and all other big hospitals saying? what about the educational instititutions? big companies and big banks? Mangalore Dioceses and the like?we learnt about social goals by corporates while studying in management? Are these only for books or for implementation? Who has to act and ao has to react? Merely voting is sufficient?
