M’lore: Dalit Sangarsha Samithi to Organize Rally on Jan 28

Mangalore, Jan 18: A massive rally will be organized by Dalit Sangarsha Samiti (DSS) on Monday January 28, from Tagore Park, located at Light House Hill to the office of Deputy Commissioner, in order to press the district administration to take legal actions against Mariyappa Lingannavar who allegedly abused Dr BR Ambedkar and the police officials who failed to register complaints against Lingannanvar, stated the press release.

The above said official, who is said to be the chief executive officer of Ullal Town Municipal Council, abused local leaders and people's representatives, in connection with the relocating the fish market near Thokkottu recently.

The actions against police personnel is also strongly sought by the pro-dalit organization, as they not only failed to accept complaints against him, but also advised those who complained against the official to remain passive.
