Udupi: Resolve Dispute Through Discussion, Ballal to Swamijis

Udupi, Jan 17:
An appeal was made by N B Vijay Ballal, the managing trustee of Sri Janardhan and Mahakali temples to the swamijis of the Ashtha Maths to solve the ongoing dispute and problems facing them, through discussions and reaching at a consensus.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday January 16 Ballal advised that all problems should be nipped in the bud. If they are allowed to fester by not doing so, it would become difficult to find solutions to them in the long run, he warned.

Further he pointed out that the recent statements and counter-statements by the swamijis of Ashtha Maths are sending wrong signals to society and specially to the devotees of Lord Krishna.

With the grand festival now getting into all kinds of disputes and the interested parties - devoties, swamijis, intellectuals, mercenaries, and all, as also the fact that tdhe Puttige Swamiji is not being allowed to perform the pooja of Sri Krishna, we have a situation where the troubles can reach epic proportions ! The Govt. is just watching to grab the cash rich temple (mutt?)
