Mangalore, Jan 16: 'Kankat–'08', an All-Karnataka Magicians’ Convention will be held on Sunday January 27 at Gorakshanatha Auditorium located close to Kadri Park organized under the aegis of Mangala Magic circle, informed Swarna Sundar, president of the reception committee, at a press conference here on Wednesday January 16. 

The aim of organizing the convention will be to preserve the art of magic and encourage up-and-coming magicians. The convention will feature paper presentations, interactive sessions and magic shows by famous magicians, such as Pradeep Suri, Prahlad Acharya and others, he added. 

The whole day has been divided into sessions, seminars and magic shows, scheduled from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm and from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm respectively. Competitions, scheduled from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm, will be held under three categories; junior division, senior division and open category, he added. 

The first session will be held exclusively for magicians and the second one will be open for general public. There would be no entry fee for the magic show which will be open for the general public, he briefed. 

Magicians Pradeep Suri, Kudroli Ganeshand and others were present at the press conference.
