Mangalore, Jan 16: A particular paragraph on the page numbers 36 and 37 in the book ‘Budakattu Sanmskruthi’ (Tribal Culture) authored by Dr Sannarama, has turned the facts topsy-turvy and has given distorted version of the fact, said Gowri, president of Koraga Abivruddi Sangagala Okkuta (KASO) at the press conference here on Wednesday January 16.
It has been pampered that Ajalu System (the food offered to them to drive away the evil) eradicated, owing to the efforts of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti. But, in fact, it is KASO, which strived for the eradication of Ajalu system and not DSS. Hence, above said paragraph should be revised by Kuvempu University which has published the book, she urged.
Kogga, secretary, Ramesh, president of district committee were also present at the press conference.
