M’lore: Clarence Pais, Robinson D’Souza Honoured by Milagres Youth

Mangalore, Jan 15: Well known lawyer Clarence Pais and Robinson D’Souza, principal secretary in Karnataka Legislature were honoured during the diamond jublee of The Milagres Youth Association, held at Milagres Church premises on Monday, January 14 evening.

Clarence Pais was recently chosen for the prestigious ‘Knight of St Gregory the Great’, award by the Pope, Benedict XVI. He was chosen for his successful struggle in obtaining exemption from Probate under Indian Succession Act.


Robinson D’Souza is one of the very few officers among the community serving in the government department.

Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore presided over this function. Fr Anil D’Souza, director of ICYM Mangalore diocese and Naveen D’Souza, president of Mangalore ICYM were the chief guests, present at the occasion. Fr Walter D’Mello, parish priest of Milagres church, Roshan Madtha, convener of diamond jubilee, Rohan Pinto, president of the Association and Kenneth D’Souza, secretary were present on this occasion.

Later, variety entertainment programmes were held.  Hundreds of parishioners participated in these programmes.
