Beltangady, Jan 15: Naxal menace has once again cropped up in the neighbourhood of Naravi here. Several hand bills belonging to Naxals were found on Monday, January 14 morning at the shops and bus stand in Naravi.

'Let the revolution strive to exit imperialist regime,' the statement of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh was found on the hand bills.

Naxal hand bills were found in almost twenty places in Naravi town.  They were pasted in a few places while in some places they were thrown. It was believed that armed Naxals executed the task on Sunday January 13 night.  A group of Naxals had visited a few families at Sigedady on Wednesday, January 9.

The policemen of Beltangady Anti-Naxal Force (ANF) arrived at the spot and recovered the hand bills which the Naxals left behind.  Subash Gadimani, SP of ANF also visited the spot.  ANF policemen led by Gangi Reddy, circle inspector have already begun combing operations in Naravi and Kutthoor surrounding areas.  Lokesh Kumar, SP and Dr Harsha, ASP also visited the location.
